  • This was pearfect! Thank you so much. You’re a nice pearson. If you could pear into my soul right now, you’d see complete pearadise.

  • @TheMushyPear - Thank you.  Never thought the definition of “Mulching” could bring someone so much joy.

  • There’s an R missing (evapoation) but then again, when is produce ever perfect? Nice job on the text color contouring!

  • @Roadkill_Spatula - AIYAA!  Thanks for pointing out the spelling mistake, man.  As it turned out, there was more to it than a missing “r”.  I originally used “The procedure decreases the evaporation of moisture from the ground while …”, when it should be “The procedure enriches the soil for stimulated plant development while…”.

Forgive me Mark Evanier, where ever you are :’C

  • this’ awesome.

  • That’s the prettiest botanical definition I’ve ever seen.

  • @lanney - If you only knew the story behind the story… -_-

  • @Lakakalo - Hey, that’s really neat.  It sounds like quite the roller-coaster ride, but persistence paid, so that’s great.  Thanks for sharing!

  • @lanney - You’re welcome.  Being a fan of Groo (it’s the reason behind my handle), as well as running gags, I generally used the definition of “Mulching” when ever I needed some space to fill.  Never figured it would become my most viewed post. 0_O

  • @Lakakalo - You just never can tell what’ll catch on!

  • @lanney - I like to call it “The curse of Trek”.  In honor of otherwise fine & dedicated thespians who devote their lives to their art, spending countless years on stage bringing characters to life in the most subtle of ways, and yet find everlasting fame & recognition from their appearance in a single episode of Star Trek.

  • @Lakakalo -I suppose we must take our luck from whence it grows, not grudge that it did not grow where we labored to plant it.

  • @lanney - Oh… don’t get me wrong.  I’m not grudging.  I think it’s hilarious, and dare I say Groo-ish.  While trying to look up more information (i.e. first appearance of the joke, issues it ran in, etc.) on the definition of “Mulching” on google, this post came up 6th. :D

  • @Lakakalo - That’s pretty impressive!

  • @lanney - I know!  It’s like the gag somehow worked it’s way into reality. Either that or the powers that be have a sense of humor.  XD

  • I love this,the colors and stem,great detail!

@Roadkill_Spatula - You would piont out that “R”!

  • @seedsower - Thanks.  The detail & colors are result of having good references.  And I “cheated” a little with black underscores to get some of the parts the way they are.  Plus I owe it to @opticalnoise wondering about how to create 3D shapes with letters & @TheMushyPears ‘ fondness of pears.  And @Roadkill_Spatula detecting the missing “r” did turn out to be part of a much larger problem. :D

  • You are so clever. This was wonderful to read.

  • @ZSA_MD - Thanks, but I believe the writing credit goes to Mark Evanier.  I just rearranged the letters and colored them.:D
