It seemed like a good idea at the time…
Birthday card for a friend of mine. He’s into Skyrim these days.

It’s awful nice of folks like @roscoes_farm, @SaintBlue1131, @angys_coco, @Cestovatelka, @godfatherofgreenbay, @Unstoppable_Inner_Strength to complement my artwork (for which I am always thankful ^_^) and then point out that they’re unfamiliar with Skyrim.
If it’s any consolation, I am unfamiliar with Skyrim.
The two things I know about Skyrim are, it’s a videogame and my best friend is an avid fan. A Google search revealed a few conversions & in-jokes that would work as the basis for a card and I picked one. That’s about it, actually.
Though, in hindsight, perhaps an upside down man spilling his martini is funnier out of context than in one.

@roscoes_farm - Thanks man. Knowyourmeme.com defines “Fus Ro Dah” (which is partially visible in the back) as “the words used in a dragon shout that summons a powerful force from the speaker’s throat in the game [Skyrim]“, which my friend is a big fan of.
So I figured I’d draw him Fus-Ro-Dah-ing his birthday cake.

Well I’m sure once I do play Skyrim I’ll have a good chuckle about this card
But till then it’s still a very eye-catching style, i’d love to see a computer game world done in that sort of style.

my dad has the addiction so I can relate. We almost lost him altogether for Jan and Feb after he got it but now he does surface to gasp for air a little more often.
